Yoga and Yeast Infection: a SURPRISING Connection

Can a daily yoga session be beneficial for victims of yeast infection?
Although the real link between yeast infection and yoga has not yet
been fully stated, recent research on yoga pointed to interesting
information on the subject, to indicate why yoga principles observed daily
will likely be of advantage to victims of yeast infection.
Where does yeast infection come from? It is the results of Candida
fungi and is also called candidiasis. The candida microbe is generally
found in warm and humid pace places of the body, such as mouth, throat,
intestine, and genitals. When the friendly probiotics in the body keep
the candida in check, then the individual is not in danger. However,
Candida can rapidly evolve to a fungal form and grow under certain
circumstances. Simultaneously it grows root that dig into the intestine
before penetrating into the blood stream, and generating the symptoms of
yeast infection in different parts of the body.
A variety of items can result in Candida over multiplication and these
may include:
1. A weak immune system (perhaps because of the other health problems,
bad eating, the use of antibiotics which in turn weaken the immune
system) that cannot control the out break of Candida.
2. Overeating of foods that encourage Candida (sweets, caffeine,
alcohol, refined carbohydrates and other similar foods).
3. Stress factors that result in a mental state that depresses the
immune system and also boosts blood sugar levels. These are both
situations that encourage Candida overgrowth.
4. The toxins that can start to accumulate in the intestine and the
blood thus preventing proper digestion. This also stresses the liver and
makes it difficult for your body to carry out its normal defense
processes against Candida.
As one of the oldest spiritual practices that puts the emphasis on
conscious living and using one’s inner potential for health that is both
mental, physical and psychic, yoga may not have been created to heal
Candida infections , but can help to eliminate a number of the basic
conditions that cause this problem. For example, the techniques of
relaxation will emphasize mental focus together with the correct breathing and
physical positions. This can significantly and positively change levels
of stress and reinforce the immune system.
Yoga also demonstrates the elimination in the human organism of toxins
by fasting. This notion of cleansing is one of the important features
of the philosophy of yoga. This way a digestive system can be freed
and accelerated and toxins in the blood can be cleansed. Thus a number
of primary factors encouraging Candida can be got rid off. In general
this is what is required for many diseases in the western world: getting
rid off mucus, eliminating toxins and restarting the natural
elimination process of the body.
The diet plan principles which the yoga philosophy has as part of its
teaching also place the importance on balanced food, harmonious heating
and the needs and makeup of your body. In the fight against Candida
infection these dietary habits and proper food plans can enhance digestion
and therefore help you.
This of course is just one part of a total solution and not a remedy in
itself, even though the yoga principles and practices can be very
beneficial to your health and your fight against candida invasion.
Combining these principles with alternative medicine programs, such as changes
in diet, elimination of toxins, killing off Candida and using
supplements based on herbs and vitamins will all help to restore the natural
intestinal equilibrium.
Were you aware that the all-natural approach using holistic principles
is the only way to tackle the internal environment that causes yeast
infection and therefore get rid of all Candida symptoms and prevent the
problem from coming back forever?
