MMS is the popular term given to a product and protocol that was initially put together by a man named Jim Humble. In a nutshell, Mr Humble happened to come accross the notion that this apparently benign substance had the ability to kill pathogens. The full capabilities were comprehended when two members of the expedition were suddenly smote down with a deadly form of Malaria. The closest real help was at least two days away by foot, giving Humble very little alternative but to administer some of his sodium chlorite or liquid oxygen with them - in a period of less than four hours, the two men were up and laughing. Jim Humble deepened his understanding of this compound upon his return home, in which he went further into the workings of the substance itself.
Ok, now for a little science.
The active constituent of MMS is actually not the sodium chlorite, or more commonly known as liquid oxygen, but rather the small amounts of chlorine dioxide found within it. When sodium chlorite is mixed with a pre determined quantity of citric acid (or activator), within the space of three minutes a liberal amount of chlorine dioxide is produced.
Upon looking at the chlorine dioxide molecule, it is easy to mistake the chlorine aspect of this molecule with the more commonly known chlorine gas. The element chlorine is readily found in nature in large quantities, and is most often found bound to the element of sodium – hence giving us table salt.
Chlorine dioxide is a chemical compound being composed of one chlorine ion & two ions of oxygen.
The compound known as chlorine dioxide is a strong oxidizing agent, and will readily receive electrons from structures that are most usually known as electron donors. It is important to note at this stage that virtually all pathogenic stressors within the human body are electron donors. This helps explain why healthy tissue within the body is preferentially spared and untouched by the chlorine dioxide compound.
Chlorine dioxide has been used within industry for a good part of six decades as a water sterilizer, and has been approved by the EPA decades ago for its ability to remove deadly pathogens such as anthrax from our drinking supply – this in itself is an endorsement of chlorine dioxide’s efficacy as a pathogen destroyer. Unlike chlorine, this compound readily breaks down into the harmless by products of carbon dioxide and water. Chlorine, on the other hand takes much longer to break down, and when it does, carcinogenic compounds are created.
Chlorine dioxide is a highly volatile substance, and must be created “on - site”. That is why it is transported in the more benign state of sodium chlorite. Within the last few years it has become accepted within the water purification industry that this is a much more preferable molecule to use, and chlorine is now being systematically replaced across the country.
Jim Humble’s final solution of MMS is composed of 28% of sodium chlorite in a mix of distilled water. Chlorine dioxide can be thus manufactured on site by mixing 5 drops of citric acid activator with 1 drop of MMS solution (sodium chlorite).
By having your very own supply of sodium chlorite and appropriate activator on hand, which is entirely safe to transport, you can have your very own pathogen killer and water purifier with you regardless of where you may happen to find yourself.
Good health is literally at hand!
